Member of Parliament (MP) for Akuapem South in the Eastern Region, Honourable O.B Amoah believes Kumasi Asante Kotoko have gone beyond expectations in the CAF Confederation Cup this year.

The Porcupine Warriors, who are representing Ghana in the Confederation for the first time since 2008 are on the verge to honour their fourth game in the competition when they host Zambian giants Nkana FC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.

According to the Member of Parliament, the Reds were not tipped to reach that far due to the current crisis in the country's football in the aftermath of Anas documentary were football-related activities were suspended resulting in lack of competitive league.

"I think Kotoko has over-achieved in Africa this year and we are happy judging from the circumstances our football is going through", Honourable told Sikka FM.

"Currently there is a supporters group of Kotoko made of Member of Parliaments who are fans of Kotoko and are ready to assist the club", he added.

Asante Kotoko are in preparation towards conquering Africa after decades of being a sleeping giant in Africa.
