Asante Kotoko midfielder Justice Blay returned to the field today, October 13, 2022 after his long injury lay-off.

The 28-year-old was an integral part of the title-winning team under former Coach Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum before injury ruled him out of last season.

Blay, who resumed personal training this week was in action today when his Kotoko’s side defeated Division Two side, Techiman Liberty in a friendly encounter.

The Porcupine Warriors continue to prepare amid a court injunction which has plagued the season.

The Ghana Football Association will appear in court on Friday October 14 over its legal battle with Ashantigold.

The situation has led to an abrupt end to the 2022-23 campaign which has prompted the club to devise strategies to keep the players fit.

Today, the Ghanaian giants made light work on the Division Two side, inflicting a 5-1 win in the clash.

Goals from Eric Zeze, Steven Mukwala, Isaac Oppong, Rocky Dwamena and Patrick Asmah propelled the Porcupine Warriors to victory.
