Asante Kotoko midfielder Justice Blay is set to spent time on the sidelines after a successful knee surgery on Wednesday.
Blay picked up a horrible knee injury at training before the side game against Hearts of Oak in matchday 24 of the Ghana Premier League.
The 30-year-old who joined the club on a two-year deal before the start of the second round of the season after the expiration of his contract at Medeama is expected to be sidelined for two-three months.
Blay has featured seven times for the Porcupine Warriors.
He has joined Isaac Oppong and young goalkeeper Abdul Rafiu Yakubu in Asante Kotoko's treatment room.
