Former Asante Kotoko player Godwin Ablordey has advised his former employers to do away with complacency following their superlative performance in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.

The Porcupine Warriors has been outstanding this season after 18 matches winning 12, drawing 4 and losing 2 and are on course to clinch the domestic top-flight.

They sit summit on the league table with 40 points and are 9 points clear at the top.

In an interview with Koforidua-based Bryt FM, Ablordey entreated the players not to be complacent with their current performance.

According to him, the season is not over until it is over and has therefore called on the players to fight to the end.

“I’m impressed with the performance of Kotoko but I will entreat them not to be complacent because there are a lot games to be played”

“We have a chunk of games to play, so they should continue to fight and I believe with hard work they can emerge as winners of the league this season. Truth be told, second of the season are always difficult” he said.

Kotoko’s game against Bechem United has been postponed due to their involvement in the President Cup slated for Friday.
