Asante Kotoko legend Sarfo Gyamfi has revealed that the club requires an additional month to ensure their players are in peak physical condition ahead of the upcoming season.
According to Gyamfi, he wishes Ashantigold would place an injunction on the league so that Asante Kotoko will get extra time to prepare the squad.
"If you are a player and you are not fit you get injured a lot that is why we have three players out injured," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com
"If you are fit and playing you have no problem I am praying that Goldfields put an injunction on the league so that it will give us another one month to get them fully fit," he added.
Last season the Kumasi-based club placed 4th with 52 points after 34 games.
