Kotoko took the lead in the 16th minute through Osei Effah before William Opoku Mensah doubled the lead in the 52nd minute of the game with a header.
Effah bagged his second goal in the 54th minute with a fine finish.
Kumawuman pulled one back but Mensah completed the mauling to hand Kotoko a 4-1 win after a dominant display.
