Asante Kotoko have parted ways with Martin Antwi ahead of the start of the new season which commences next month, Oyerepa FM.

The 26-year-old was deemed surplus to requirement by coach Maxwell Konadu following his unconvincing performance at the club last season.

Antwi featured in 10 games for the Reds during the truncated 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season due to the coronavirus pandemic.

He was part of the club's squad undergoing preseason exercise for the new season in Koforidua.

He joined Asante Kotoko on a free transfer in 2018 after unsuccessful stint at Egyptian club FC Masr.

He has previously played for Inter Allies and WAFA in the Ghana Premier League.
