In a thrilling showdown in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League, Asante Kotoko demonstrated exceptional resilience despite being down to 10 men, earning praise from Nsoatreman coach Maxwell Konadu.

The match, which unfolded in gripping fashion during its eighth-week fixture, saw Nsoatreman clinch a hard-fought 1-0 victory. Stephen Diyou etched his name into the annals of the game, securing the lone goal in the 41st minute.

Asante Kotoko's challenges were compounded when defender Henry Ansu received his marching orders after a second yellow card, yet the team rallied valiantly in the second half, leaving a lasting impression on their opponents.

"I think generally the game was not bad both teams played well they were fighting for the three points I think we deserve the three points having said that in the second half Kotoko really played well even though they were down by a man," he said after the game.

"So the game was tough it is good we took our chance but Kotoko failed to create some chances," he added.
