Asante Kotoko send players home for two weeks after COVID-19 outbreak

Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko have decided to send its players home for two weeks after President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo declared a suspension of footballing activities for one month.

The Ghana Premier League has been suspended for the next four weeks. Government took this decision to help fight the pandemic which has recorded six confirmed cases so far.

Kotoko has decided to allow players get some rest during this period while taking some precautions.

The statement on Kotoko's social media page read:
