According to reports in the local media, two players, Mohammed Abdul Rahman of Nsoatreman FC and Uche, a Cameroonian striker, were instructed to return to their respective teams after failing to impress the club's technical staff led by Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum.

The Porcupine Warriors began pre-season training in Beposo in the Ashanti Region earlier this month, with the two players training with the squad in the hopes of signing a contract.

After Asante Kotoko's pre-season encounter against Kumasi Cornerstone FC, the two players were instructed to return to their respective clubs.

The Ghana Premier League club continued their preparations for the upcoming 2023/24 league with two friendly games today.

The Porcupine Warriors will take on PAC Academy before facing Asekem FC with both games expected to be played at the Dr. K.K Sarpong Stadium in Beposo.

The Porcupine Warriors on Sunday were engaged in two games and are aiming to continue in that energy with more matches to keep them battle-ready for the 2023/24 season.

They played to a 1-1 draw against Kharis Academy before beating Cornerstone 5-1 in their second game. Braces from Kalo Ouattara and a trialist as well as one Shadrack Addo propelled the team to a resounding victory.

Asante Kotoko will open their 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign with a home game against Heart of Lions at the Baba Yara Stadium.
