Asante Kotoko set to sign 16-year-old Clinton Opoku

Asante Kotoko are set to complete the signing of 16-year-old Clinton Opoku ahead of the start of the new season, according to Kickgh.com.

Opoku is expected to sign a long-term deal with the club from Phar Rangers after their demotion to the Division Three League by the Ghana Football Association.

He will undergo his medicals in the coming days. He has already started training with the Porcupine Warriors the newly appointed head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum at the Adako Jachie Training Complex.

The highly-rated winger is regarded as one of the best wingers in the 2020/21 Division One League zone three before his club, Phar Rangers decided to withdraw from all organised GFA competitions.

He joined Phar Rangers from Eastern Region based side Kwaebibirem United FC.

Asante Kotoko are have already completed the signing of Inter Allies midfielder Richmond Lamptey and Maxwell Agyemang of Wamanfo Mighty Royals FC in the ongoing transfer window.
