Asante Kotoko set to sign Ashanti Gold midfielder Latif Anabila

Asante Kotoko are on the verging of signing Ashanti Gold midfielder Latif Anabila in the on-going transfer windows, according to report in the local media.

The Porcupine Warriors and the Miners are currently locked in negotiations over a possible transfer of Anabila ahead of the second round of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season.

Kotoko are said to have agreed to pay half of Ashgold's initial GH₵100,000 demands.

It is believed that the midfielder has agreed personal terms with Kotoko and will be earning GH₵90,000 as he is expected to pen a three-year deal.

Coach Maxwell Konadu wants to strengthen his squad before the return of the Ghana Premier League, which is currently suspended due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic in the country.

Anabila has spent two years at the Len Clay Stadium after joining the Elephants in 2018 winter and has impressed for the side.

Asante Kotoko are 3rd on the league table with 25 points, just three points adrift leaders Aduana Stars after 14 matches played thus far.
