Asante Kotoko shot-stopper Kwame Osei looks set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after undergoing surgery.

Osei suffered an anterior cruciate ligament tear while playing for the Porcupine Warriors. He had to go under the knife again due to poor rehabilitation management after the first surgery.

He was discharged from KATH on Saturday and would continue his rehabilitation which will be guided by Dr. Konadu Yeboah, Head of the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department at KATH, and Kotoko’s Medical staff.

He is expected to regain full fitness ahead of the 2020/21 Premier League season.

The highly-rated goalkeeper joined Asante Kotoko from fellow Premiership side Inter Allies in 2018.
