Asante Kotoko sign Nicholas Osei Bonsu from Panthers FC on three-year deal

Asante Kotoko have confirmed the signing of versatile left-back Nicholas Osei Bonsu from Panthers FC.

The 21-year-old joins the club on a three-year deal after successful negotiations and passing his medicals.

Bonsu becomes Kotoko’s 10th signing of the transfer window, following the early arrivals of Frederick Asare, Steven Mukwala, Ernest Osei Poku, Moise Pouaty, Eric Serge Zeze, Enoch Morrison, Sherif Mohammed, Nicholas Mensah and Thomas Pele.

He has already joined up with his new teammates and travelled with the team for their pre-season tour of Sudan.

Bonsu made only three appearances for Bibiani Gold Stars during the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season and won Man of the Match award during the MTN FA Cup game against Sekondi Hasaacas.

He joined Bibiani Goldstars on a one-year contract following the dissolution of second-tier side Phar Rangers.

The 2022/23 betPawa Premier League season will kick start on the weekend of Friday, September 9 to Monday, September 12, 2022, across all nine league centers.

The fixtures for the upcoming season were released last week to enable clubs to prepare adequately for the season.
