Asante Kotoko striker Songne Yacouba wants US$150,000 a year to sign a contract with the club ahead of the new season.
Yacouba's representatives turned down the Porcupine Warriors' GH¢50,000-a-year contract as they believed it's below the demanding offer.
According to Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM Sports, there will be a final meeting between the two parties next week to decide his future.
The club's Executive Chairman Dr Kwame Kyei is expected to have sit down meeting with Yacouba and his representatives to lower his demands.
His contract will end next year February 23.
