Asante Kotoko has posted an emphatic 3-0 win over Odweanoma FC in a pre-season friendly match ahead of the upcoming football season today.
The Ghanaian giants arrived in the Eastern Regional capital of Koforidua last weekend to have the second phase of their pre-season.
Having trained for a week, the Asante Kotoko team has earlier this afternoon played a friendly match against the lower-tier side Odweanoma FC.
The Porcupine Warriors club display good form and managed to cruise to a 3-0 victory courtesy of goals from strikers Osman Ibrahim, Naby Keita, and Kwame Poku.
On the Matchday, coach Maxwell Konadu handed starting roles to new signings Emmanuel Keyekeh, Emmanuel Sarkodie, as well as Mubarik Yusif.
Asante Kotoko is expected to build on today’s win in additional friendly matches in the coming weeks before the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season commences.
On the opening weekend of the new season, the Reds will host Techiman Eleven Wonders at the Accra Sports Stadium.
