Asante Kotoko will adopt the Len Clay Sports Stadium in Obuasi as their new home venue for the 2024/25 season following the temporary closure of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The Baba Yara Stadium has been closed down for renovation works after Black Stars' opener of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola. The stadium has been closed down due to it poor state.

It was earlier reported that the Porcupine Warriors will adopt the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese but the club will now play their home games at the Len Clay Stadium.

The new development means Kotoko will host Nsoatreman FC in their first home game of the season at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.

The club has already entered advanced talks with Anglogold Ashanti, the custodians of the Len Clay Stadium.

Inspections of the facilities have been carried out, and the final approval now rests with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) before the switch can be made official.

Asante Kotoko will return to the Baba Yara Stadium after the renovation works.
