Kumasi Asante Kotoko Policy Analyst, Yaw Amo Sarpong says the team was depressed emotionally before the game against Al-Hilal in the Caf Confederation Cup.
On Sunday, Kotoko honoured their first CAF Confederation Cup group match after 11-years in Sudan where they lost 1-0 to the Sudanese giants.
Yaw Amo has sighted 'emotional stress' as the main reason why the Porcupine Warriors lost in Africa inter-club competition.
"The team was emotionally depressed before the game because we were delayed one-hour at the hotel before the game and I think that affected the players".
"We want everyone especially our supporters to forget about this defeat and prepare towards our home game against Zesco United because it's a must win game", he told Ashh FM on Kumasi.
Sarpong added that the Reds must have a backup plan when they go for away matches."We must have a back-up plan whenever we travel for games and I hope that will help the team".
"Operation Zesco United must fall in Kumasi is a good initiative and Kotoko team will make it a reality because this African campaign is for all Ghanaians".
