Ashanti Gold SC midfielder Latif Anabila swerves Kotoko; set to sign contract extension

Ashanti Gold SC midfielder Latif Anabila is set to sign a contract extension with the Miners despite reports linking him with a move away from the club in the on-going transfer window.

Anabila has been linked with a move to regional rivals Asante Kotoko with media reports claiming the midfielder has agreed personal terms with the Porcupine Warriors and is expected to pen a three-year deal.

However, the 22-year-old has refuted such reportage as he revealed that he is currently locked in negotiations with the Miners over a new deal which will keep him at the club for a long time.

"My contract with AshGold will soon expire, but I’ve been approached by the management led by ‘Champion’ (club president) for a contract renewal which negotiations are still ongoing," the former New Edubiase midfielder told OTEC FM.

"I will assure AshGold supporters to stay calm because Anabila is not going anywhere."
