Ashanti Gold SC sadden by death of Shamo Quaye

Ashanti Gold SC has consoled the family of Shamo Quaye over the death of the club's popular supporter.

Quaye passed away in Kumasi after he was knocked down by a car with registration number AS 9346 – 11.

He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital on Wednesday evening where he was rushed for treatment.

The Miners have issued a statement to stand by the family of the deceased in this difficult moment.

"All of us at Ashantigold SC commiserates with the football fraternity and more specifically Accra Hearts of Oak on the demise of Shomo Quaye. Our heartfelt condolences to his family in these difficult times," a statement on the official Twitter handle of Ashgold reads.
