The Ashanti Region National Sports Authority (NSA) Public Relations Officer (PRO) has spoken out about the leaked stadium budget of 36,000 Ghana cedis for the upcoming Dreams FC vs Zamalek match.

The match, which is the second leg of the CAF Confederations Cup, is scheduled to take place at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, April 28. The first leg in Cairo ended in a goalless draw.

The Ashanti Region NSA PRO's statements were made during an interview with Peace FM, as monitored by Footballghana.com

According to the Ashanti Region NSA PRO, preparing the stadium for matches is a complex and costly process. This includes maintaining the washrooms and preparing the pitch, among other tasks. The PRO expressed disappointment over the leak, hinting that Dreams FC was responsible.

Despite the leak, the NSA PRO has shown a willingness to engage in negotiations with Dreams FC. "We are ready to sit down with Dreams FC to negotiate," the PRO stated. The PRO also highlighted the financial challenges faced by the NSA, stating that every day, they have to borrow money to prepare the facility and that there is always debt on the books.

The PRO also addressed the issue of certain portions of the facility being declared free on social media without consulting the NSA. The PRO stressed that such decisions cannot be made unilaterally and should involve consultation with the NSA.
