AshantiGold did well in any competition they played during my time- Frederick Acheampong

Former AshantiGold CEO Frederick Acheampong confidently said that the club performed very well in competitions during his time in charge.

Acheampong, unfortunately, tendered his resignation in shocking fashion after a successful spell at the club.

In his interview with Kessben, he cited their triumphs in the NC Special competition and performances in the Premier League.

“There is no competition that was organized during my time that AshantiGold did not perform well. In the cancelled Premier League during the 2017/18 season, we were tied with Medeama at the top with 27 points. We reached the semifinals in the tier one of the NC Special Competition and won the tier two of the NC Special Competition. We always performed.”

He did however admit that their performance in continental competitions did not go according to plan.

“We did not perform that well in continental competitions but it was a learning experience for us.”
