Ghana Premier League side AshantiGold SC have signed highly-rated defender Frank Akoto on a free transfer.
Akoto penned a three-year deal with the Miners on Tuesday after passing his mandatory medicals and completing the formalities.
He rose from a youth player to captain in his seven-year stint with Heart of Lions and his impressive display in Ghana Football Association Normalisation Committee Special Competition earned him a place in the Black Meteors team.
The 22-year-old can play as a centre back as well as as a right back and his addition to the club will give them more options in defence in the season.
AshantiGold SC have set sights on winning the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League and the acquiring the services of the former Heart of Lions skipper will help boost their chances.
