The misunderstandings between Ashanti Gold President Dr. Kwaku Frimpong and supporters of the club have finally been settled, footballghana.com can report.

The Majority shareholder of the club had a falling out with the leadership of the fan base before the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season was put on hold as a precautionary measure against the spread of the Coronavirus.

After the team's 1-0 loss to Bechem United at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium, supporters hooted at Dr. Kwaku Frimpong with others throwing objects at him.

He subsequently announced that he was stepping down as the President of the club while indicating that he would not make a return.

In the latest development of the story, Emmanuel Frimpong, son of Dr. Kwaku Frimpong has revealed that the supporters have settled all their issues with his father.

"Together with the supporters, we will work as a family. The current impasse has been dealt with after the supporters wrote an apology letter to my father, we will work smoothly", he noted.
