Outspoken football administrator, Kofi Manu has debunked reports suggesting that he has been snubbed by Ashgold for the club's Accra Representative role.

Popularly known as Blue Boy, the former vice-chairman of the Player Status Committee has in the last couple of weeks been in talks with officials of the Miners to become their rep in Accra.

Following several questions raised as to whether he is cleared for such role after appearing in the Anas expose allegedly receiving bribe, new report noted that Ashanti Gold had dropped their interest.

Speaking to Light FM today, Kofi Manu has shared that to his knowledge he has not been dropped by the Ghana Premier League club.

He explained, "Nobody has official informed me that I have been dropped as Accra rep as it is been speculated in the media circles and my position overtaken by Oduro Nyarko as Ashgold Accra representative.

"Club Chairman ask Daniel Bio who is the club administrator for my documents and email address and he send me my appointment letter so if there any change of plans officially it has not been communicated to me".

Kofi Manu added, "Personally, i don't have any problem because i haven't responded with any concrete news. I told them they should give me time to think about some stuff but I am Ok for now and will have to meet the club president before any decision could be struck in putting pen on paper".

In a latest development, Oduro Nyarko has also confirmed that he is in talks to become the new Accra Rep for Ashanti Gold.
