Aston Villa Owner Tony Xia Hints Club Have Secured Midfielder Mile Jedinak From Crystal Palace

Aston Villa's new owner Dr Tony Xia seemed to confirm that the Championship club had secured a deal for their latest transfer target Mile Jedinak.


The Crystal Palace midfielder has longbeen linked with a change andissupposedly set to trade Selhurst Park for Villa Park - he appeared to say his goodbyes to the Eagles after their openingday defeat to West Bromon Saturday.

Jedinak played the full 90 minutes against the Baggies, and threw his jersey into the crowd following the 1-0 loss, in a gesture which many see as a 'thank you and goodbye'.


The new Villa owner has been very active on Twitter, and on Sunday, he let on that his club would be Jedinak's next destination.

Roberto di Matteo is said to be very keen on recruiting the Palace man, but Newcastle are reportedly in the chase as well.


Asked by a supporter if a deal for Jedinak was close, Xia responded by saying: "Nobody can steal if he's delighted to be with us; also you can't keep him if his heart was not with us! #UTV"
