Juanfran has signed a new one-year extension to his contract at Atletico Madrid, keeping him with the Europa League winners for a ninth season. The defender first joined in 2011, but came within a fortnight of his contract expiring before putting pen to paper on his new deal. “Staying one more season at home makes me very proud and happy,” he told the club's official website.
