Spanish giants Atletico Madrid have agreed to sign Valencia midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia as the season progresses.
The deadline for transfers has already elapsed but Atletico have been given a leeway to make another addition since Partey was captured by Arsenal on deadline day with no time for a replacement.
They have settled on the Frenchman to fill the hole left by the Ghanaian. According to Spanish outlet Carrusel Deportivo, the move will be worth 15-20 million euros.
Partey was a key member of Diego Simeone's team, making over 40 appearances in all competitions last season. He now features for Arsenal in the Premier League and recently put up a commanding performance against Manchester United.
