Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann Claims He Wants to Play With Man Utd Star at Club Level

Published on: 08 November 2016

Only adding more fuel to those persistent transfer rumours, Atletico Madrid and Francestriker Antoine Griezmann has stoked the flames furtherby stating he would like to play with international teammate Paul Pogba at club level- in the future.

While those last three words might reassure Atletico fans somewhat, this isn't the first time Griezmann has hinted at some kind of separation between himself and the La Liga outfit, and it seems almost inevitable that the player's long-term future is destined to be away from the club.

Or perhaps Pogba will join him at Atletico?

As reported bySky Sports, what we know for certain is that Antoine and Paul have a bit of a bromance going on; they've posted a number of images of the two of them together on social media and it's obvious they enjoy each other's company...

...Enough to plot a future move so that they might play more regularly together than just on the international stage?

Only time will tell.

Griezmann is much in demand following his goal-scoring exploits during Euro 2016 and at club level last season with Atletico. As for Pogba, apparently, he moved to Manchester United from Juventus, but the whole things was super hush-hush, and only one or two people knew about it.

Yes, that's what some people might identify as 'sarcasm'.

Asked about his future, Griezmann had the following to say:

"I always ask Paul Pogba about Manchester United.I think they are a huge club with a really good infrastructure.I ask Paul about some of the players, and if they're really that good, or if Jose Mourinho is really that good.

"You hear a lot of things (speculation) about Manchester United and Paris St Germain but right now I don't see me moving to a new club. But it would be awesome to play alongside Paul one day."

Well there you have it. Now that everything has been made abundantly clear, I'm sure that'll be the last we hear of this story.

(Yep. More sarcasm.)
