Aubameyang at home in Dortmund

Published on: 06 November 2018

Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang says he feels at home with the Bundesliga side and is not contemplating a move away.

Aubameyang's prolific record in front of goal means he has the eyes of European football on him, with several Premier League clubs rumoured to be interested in taking the Gabon international to England.

Aubameyang already has 18 league goals to his name in 2015/16 amid a running total of 27 goals in 26 appearances in all competitions so far this term.

The people here accept me for who I am. Dortmund has become my second home.

He is the Bundesliga's leading marksman and the 26-year-old French-born forward says he has no desire to move on after two-and-a-half-years at the Westfalenstadion.

"I am very happy here," Aubameyang told German magazine Kicker. "The people here accept me for who I am. Dortmund has become my second home.

"I learnt a lot through the clubs I've played for previously [AC Milan, Dijon, Lille, Monaco] both negative and positive. It's made me a better person."

Aubameyang is 6/1 to be the Bundesliga's leading marksman this season, with Bayern Munich hitman Robert Lewandowski – currently three behind with 15 goals – available at 1/10.

Playing in front of Dortmund's famously passionate fans is a big draw for Aubameyang, who believes he has yet to hit his peak.

"Every goal I score feels like the first. It's a special feeling to play in front of these fans. I don't know my limits yet," he said.

"I set personal goals every season, that's very important to me. I have improved in every year I've been at Dortmund."

Dortmund, who are 200/1 to win the Bundesliga this season, trail leaders Bayern by eight-points entering the winter break.
