According to the renowned producer, he was struggling to put up his own show when the former Sunderland and Stade Rennes forward came to his aid without even asking.

"In 2015, I was organising a concert and was in desperate need of money as things became tough for me," Nacee told Kofi TV in an interview.

"Asamoah Gyan gave me $8,000 at that time. In fact, I need an opportunity to meet him and say thank you," he added.

However, Gyan replied with the same video on his Instagram with the caption, "Not everybody will come back and say thank you."

The 36-year-old has been inactive since 2021 after leaving Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities but he is yet to officially retire from the sport.

Gyan remains the country's all-time top scorer with 51 goals from 109 appearances. The legendary striker also holds the record as Africa's top scorer with six goals at three tournaments.
