Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara has reiterated his determination to improve things at the club.

According to the tactician, Hearts of Oak as one of the two biggest clubs in Ghana should be constantly rocking shoulders with the likes of Al Ahly, TP Mazembe and Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Champions League.

Speaking in a recent interview, coach Aboubakar Ouattara urged Hearts of Oak players to work hard for the club to reach the level required to take its rightful place among the best on the continent.

“Hearts of Oak and Asante are the two top clubs in the country. For Hearts of Oak, we are doing our part to raise our level to get to the top. TP Mazambe was not doing well recently but they are now in the CAF Champions League semis. Togbe has done his part it’s now up to us to also do our part to raise the level of the team,” Coach Aboubakar Ouattara said.

This season, Hearts of Oak have not been able to compete in the Ghana Premier League.

The team is currently 12th on the league table and looks likely to miss out on even a top-four finish.
