Swansea City manager, Steve Cooper has admitted that Andre Ayew’s quality is beyond playing in the English Championship.

Having returned to the Welsh club prior to the season after spending the 2018/2019 football season with Fernabache in Turkey, the Ghanaian international has gone on to establish himself as a key player for Swansea City this season.

At the end of a campaign that sees the Swans missing out on promotion to the English Premier League, it is understood that clubs have expressed interest to sign Andre Ayew.

While noting that he will like to keep the forward at the club for next season, manager Steve Cooper has admitted that the player is better than the Championship.

“We have seen the real level of player he is this year, with the goals he has scored and the impact he has had on and off the pitch. It's been brilliant to work with him.

“But I understand Andre is a better player than the Championship. That's a matter of fact and I am sure he will have offers to do that”, the manager said as quoted by bbc.com.

This season, Ayew scored 18 goals and provide 7 assists after featuring in 47 games for Swansea City.
