New Patriotic Party Nasara Chairman, Aziz Futah Haruna has commended the top football people in Ghana for their support which helped him to win his current position.
Haruna who won the Nasara Chairmanship position by a landslide margin revealed that he had financial support from some of the astute football people in Ghana which helped his dream to become a reality.
“The likes of Coach Kwesi Appiah, Kurt Okraku, Frank Nelson, Kwesi Nyantakyi and Cudjoe Fianoo all helped me financially to win my election. I had moral support from the football fraternity including Kotoko people which also brought the victory.” He told Happy FM
“Apart from Islam, NPP and Accra Hearts of Oak is the next thing I love and cherish. I am where I am today Because of football . Never underestimate the power of football”
Haruna further stressed that the President of Ghana likes football very much and is sad due to the suspension of the game in the country.
“President Akufo-Addo loves football to extend that he watches football at any free opportunity moment he gets. We haven’t been banned by FIFA today,all thanks to him. The man is a visionary”
“The president is worried about the lack of active local football in the country because he wants to watch some football. He is very passionate about our football.” He added.
