Bahrain will also be looking forward to the four friendlies lined up ahead of the continent's marquee tournament in 2019.

They will face Philippines on September 6, followed by a game against China on September 10. They will then play Syria on October 11, followed by a friendly against Palestine on October 16.

Bahrain will be competing in their fifth consecutive AFC Asian Cup Finals and their target will be to better the fourth place finish of 2004.

Following the Draw in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain are Group A and will have UAE, Thailand and India for company.
