Balotelli to be part of upcoming Italy squad

Italy coach Roberto Mancini will name his upcoming Italy squad on Saturday, and Nice striker Mario Balotelli is expected to retain his place in the team.

After failing to qualify for the World Cup, the Azzurri will look to rebuild their international presence in the inaugural UEFA Nations League with matches against Poland and Portugal on September 7 and 10 respectively.

Balotelli is once again expected to part of the squad, though he has yet to feature for Nice after a summer full of transfer rumours. Daniele De Rossi is expected to be left out as Mancini looks to the future, with Inter’s Roberto Gagliardini set to take his place.

Alessandro Florenzi will miss out after picking up an injury during the Lupi’s 3-3 draw with Atalanta on Monday.
