Jean-Clair Todibo looks set to join Barcelona on a free transfer summer, despite a strong push from Juventus to land the 19-year-old.
The starlet hasn’t featured for Toulouse since November after talks over a new contract broke down, and as a result recent reports had linked him with some of Europe’s top clubs.
El Mundo Deportivo reports Barca have all but secured a deal to land Todibo in the summer, though talks are now centred on whether they can secure his services in January in order to loan him out.
Those reports will come as a big blow to Juventus, as the Italian giants were said to be big fans of the 19-year-old as they look to rejuvenate their defence.
They will have to look elsewhere however, with recent reports linking them with a move for Genoa’s Cristian Romero.
Todibo started his career as a midfielder, but he made his mark in defence this season after making 10 starts in the Toulouse backline.
