Barcelona Forward Admits 'Trouble Adapting' to Nou Camp Life Since Summer Move

Barcelona eased past Saudi Arabian champions Al Ahli 5-3 in a first teamfriendly on Tuesday, with summer signing Paco Alcacer finally netting his first goal for the club in the match in Qatar.


The 23-year-old moved to the Nou Camp from Valenciain the summer for a fee of around€30m, but has yet to get on the scoresheet in a competitive matchfor the Catalan side after being brought in to back up the first-choice 'MSN' trident.

All three of the club's leading forwards got on the scoresheet before being taken off in the first half, leaving Alcacer and Rafinha to round off the scoring for the reigning Spanish champions - before the Spain international admitted that he was taking time to bed into life at his new club.


Speaking to SER (viaFourFourTwo) after the game, Alcacer said:"Of course I am excited. I wanted to score.The coach has already told me that I am working well and I hope it helps the team."


"I needed that goal to gain more confidence," he said, adding"It's clear that when you come to a new team, you need time to adapt. I am fine and I need to keep working hard as the coach told me."

The match began with a touching moment before kick-off, as Afghan 6-year-old Murtaza Ahmadi - who became a viral sensation when a picture of him wearing a plastic bag as a 'Messi jersey' circulated around the internet - led the teams out while holding his idol's hand.
