Barcelona insiders insist Liverpool \'demanded €200M\' for Coutinho on deadline day

Liverpool have assured Philippe Coutinho they remain prepared to sell him to Barcelona inside the next year.

Sport says Liverpool chiefs informed Coutinho and his agents there would be three prices for Barca to buy the Brazilian for the last summer market, the winter window and next year's close-season window.

It's claimed Liverpool demanded €200m on deadline day last month for Coutinho - which Barca refused to meet. Blaugrana chief Albert Soler criticised the Reds the next day when insisting they had demanded "€200m".

However, emails between the two clubs made public by Football Leaks suggest Liverpool never set a price for Coutinho, with football chief Michael Edwards insisting no offer would be considered.
