Barcelona have been dealt two injury blows in one day after confirming both Jasper Cillessen and Sergi Samper are set for spells on the sidelines.

Samper has suffered a sprain to the internal lateral ligament of his left ankle, while Cillessen has an injury to his left rib. The Blaugrana will assess the the pair further before giving any estimation on their return.

Samper, 23, has not played a first-team match for Barcelona since the 2016 Spanish Super Cup, having spent the 2016-17 campaign on loan at Granada and his spell with Las Palmas last season was cut short through injury.

Cillessen, meanwhile, is the club's second-choice goalkeeper behind Marc-Andre ter Stegen, having made 21 appearances over the past two seasons.
