Barcelona Manager Luis Enrique Insists Results During Season Will Have No Bearing on Future

Barcelona manager Luis Enrique has confirmed he is yet to make a decision regarding his future at the club.

With Barcelona four points behind La Liga leaders Real Madrid having played a game more and seemingly set to exit the Champions League after a heavy defeat to PSG, speculation regarding Enrique's future at the club has increased.

His current deal at the Nou Camp expires at the end of the season, and Enrique is yet to give an indication of whether he will still be in charge of the Catalan giants next season.

What happens in these months will have nothing to do with my decision, not one game, not two or the 38 games in the league. I still haven't taken it, Enrique said at a press conference before Barcelona's Sunday La Liga game against Leganes, as quoted by theDaily Star.

Criticism has no effect on me, if it did then I wouldn't have been able to stay in this job for almost three years. We are our own fiercest critics, the ones who most want to improve. Everything else is just a circus.

Barcelona look set to finish behind Real Madrid in the La Liga title race this season, despite the fact that they can cut the gap between the two sides to just one point on Sunday with a win.

Real's win on Saturday increased their lead at the top of the table, with Barcelona unable to afford anymore slip ups in the league.
