Ghanaian full-back David Oduro has fulfilled a childhood dream by signing with Barcelona's second team, Barcelona Athletic.

Last month, Oduro made history as the first player to be signed directly from Ghana to the Catalan club.

The 18-year-old has inked a three-year contract with the Blaugrana, transferring from Ghana Premier League side Accra Lions.

Before making the move to Spain, the promising left-back had trials with Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen in hopes of securing a transfer.

At his unveiling earlier this week, Oduro shared his excitement about joining Barcelona:

“I feel very, very great to be here. Barcelona has always been my dream club since childhood and now that I'm here, I'm going to work hard to be able to play for the first team.”

Oduro will start his journey with Barcelona Athletic, where he’ll be joined by fellow Ghanaian Abdul Aziz Issah, who is arriving on loan from Dreams FC.
