Barcelona open Palmeiras talks to bring Yerry Mina deal forward

Published on: 31 May 2017

Barcelona want to bring Yerry Mina to Europe this summer.

Barca have clinched a deal for the Palmeiras defender, but it has been agreed the Colombian won't move to Spain until after the 2018 World Cup.

However, UOL Esporte says Barca chief Robert Fernandez wants to bring the deal forward and add Mina to Ernesto Valverde's squad this summer.

Negotiations are well underway, with Barca also house-hunting for Mina and organising travel arrangements.

The stumbling block is the World Cup, with Mina eager to have a full season under his belt in order to shine in Russia next year.
