Barcelona are pushing Real Sociedad to drop their price for Inigo Martinez.

Sport says Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu has taken charge of negotiations and in his telephone conversation with his counterpart Jokin Aperribay he tried to lower the defender's €32 million buyout clause.
Bartomeu's request was met with a firm no, though.

Martinez will only leave for his buyout clause, if La Real are ready to formally accept that €32 million as a transfer, as opposed to Barça having to deposit the money with the LFP.
