Barcelona have suffered a major injury blow with Javier Mascherano breaking down while with Argentina.
Mascherano suffered a leg injury in action against Nigeria and scans have been held at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
The veteran defender is now expected to be out for four weeks due to the setback - this will include Barca's Champions League tie with Juventus.
However, Mascherano should be fit for the El Clasico against Real Madrid in Decemnber.
His absence is a concern for Barca coach Ernesto Valverde, with defensive pair Samuel Umtiti and Gerard Pique both a booking away from suspension.
