Barcelona target Coutinho won\'t leave Liverpool in World Cup year – Vickery

South American football expert Tim Vickery believes that Philippe Coutinho will not be leaving Liverpool this summer.

It has recently been revealed that Neymar is set to make a shock move from Barcelona to PSG for a mind boggling £198m this summer and the Catalans have now been left scrambling in the transfer market to find a replacement for the Brazilian superstar.

Vickery told talkSPORT: "Let's just assume they [Barcelona] sign Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool – that's not cut and dry – and Liverpool have a strong negotiating position in that he's signed a contract and it's a World Cup year.

"He's a good pro, and he doesn't really have the incentive to pull a sulk in a World Cup year. Although, in business terms, what a fantastic piece of business it would be for Liverpool. They bought him for a song when Inter Milan had more or less given up on him."
