Barcelona to Determine Deulofeu's Future Despite Winger Enjoying Life at AC Milan

Gerard Deulofeu's career can resemble a pinball machine as the player bounces between clubs as he looks to establish a career in the top flight of European football. The Barcelona Graduate left the Camp Nou in 2015 for English Premier League side Everton following a loan spell with the Toffees.

Despite being at the Merseyside club for two seasons, the 22-year-old was sent on loan in the January transfer window to Serie A side AC Milan following the Spaniard falling out of favour with Everton manager Ronald Koeman.

Although the winger has started his AC Milan career brilliantly scoring one goal in five appearances and looking to return to his very best, his career could take another move as Barcelona are rumoured to be looking to utilise their buy-back clause with Everton in the summer.

As reported in AS, Barcelona is rumoured to be interested in bringing Deulofeu back to Camp Nou in the summer.

Deulofeu's agentGines Carvajal revealed that his client is enjoying being a part ofVincenzo Montella's sidewhich is leading to his current return to form, however, Barcelona will determine the 22-year-old's future.

"So far nobody from Barcelona has contacted us, but clearly his future does depend on what they want because they do have this option," Carvajal said.

"But I wouldn't be so sure that is going to happen. Right now Barcelona have other things to think about. They need to get back on their feet in LaLiga and overturn the 4-0 Champions League defeat to PSG."

Deulofeu's girlfriend currently resides in Barcelona and is pregnant which makes moving countries harder which could impact on the Spaniard's possible return to Spain. However, Carvajal is adamant that his clients focus in on the Serie A.

"Deulofeu is very happy to be at Milan, so I certainly wouldn't rule out him pushing to remain here after the loan spell. We often speak, and he seems almost surprised at how well he has settled in at Milan. The squad welcomed him; he likes the city, the club infrastructure and the fans.

"I was certain of Gerard's quality as he is a great player, but I did not expect him to have such a good start at Milan. It took a long time for him to arrive, but the determination of Rocco Maiorino, president Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani had a decisive role.

"Vincenzo Montella really wanted him and it was the right choice to make. Gerard immediately felt the confidence of him, and that is fundamental to doing well."
