The agent of Barcelona's Aleix Vidal has said the defender is considering a move to Serie A club Roma.

Roma sporting director Monchi signed Vidal while he was at Sevilla in 2014 and sold him on to Barcelona a year later, but contact between the two has not broken down and he is set to make his move for the right-sided defender.

"Roma are Roma and Vidal would be willing to take an eventual offer from Roma into serious consideration," agent Graziano Battistini told romanews.eu.

"Contact with Monchi has continued and we are in the initial stages of what could become negotiations.

"We're not yet in serious talks, but if the Roma sporting director really wants him, we're ready to listen."

Vidal has started just three La Liga games for Barca this season and could provide an additional option to Alessandro Florenzi and Bruno Peres on the Roma right.
