Bastian Badu completes move to FC Chambly from Montpellier HSC

Ligue 2 side FC Chambly have completed the signing of French-born Ghanaian forward Bastian Badu from Ligue 1 outfit Montpellier in the on-going summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old penned a season-long loan deal with the club after passing his mandatory medicals.

The French striker of Ghanaian descent was loaned to FC Chambly on a six-month deal in January this year and was able to make four appearances before the competition was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

young attacker who can play as right winger is considered to be one of the brightest prospects in French football and has already been compared to the Arsenal and France legend Henry Thiery because of his style of play.

He was born in the city of Le Mans to a Ghanaian father and French mother and played for FC L'Etente before being signed by Montpellier in 2017 for their youth. He was promoted to the senior team in 2019.

Badu has already represented France at the under -18 level but is still eligible to switch allegiance to Ghana at the senior level.
