The Bundlesliga club, who Batshuayi joined on loan last month, advanced to the last-16 of the Europa League thanks to Marcel Schmelzer's late equaliser.

A Twitter member messaged Batshuayi asking he had monkey noises directed him from the home fans.

He said: "Was that Atalanta fans making monkey noises at @ mbatshuayi ??", before the Belgian replied "Yep lol".
